I found an interesting new product from Adventure Medical Kits called the SOL Origin. It's a pretty basic survival kit, but looks like it is a really good start to personal survival kit. Customizing this a little to suit your specific skills/area and throwing it in a cargo pocket certainly would increase your odds of survival in the wilderness substantially.
